Mission

The mission of the MOAA Chapter is to benefit the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the MOAA Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. Chapter Membership is $25.00 annually. Our chapter currently has over 120 members.

Legislative Issues

The MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we annually invite our Congressional Representative and Senators to speak to the chapter. The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues.

General Information

MOAA Chapter meetings are lunch meetings held on the third Saturday every other month beginning at11:30 a.m. Locations alternate between Sequim and Port Angeles and are announced in the chapter newsletter and at chapter meetings. Board meetings are held every other month and chapter members are invited to attend.

About Our Chapter

The Olympic Peninsula Chapter received the MOAA Annual Level of Excellence Five Star Award - MOAA National has a yearly “Levels of Excellence” award program. The Olympic Peninsula Chapter received a Level of Excellence award for the 4th year in a row because we have a strong Board of Directors, an excellent newsletter, all our members are members of the National MOAA, we support the Port Angles NJROTC Unit, send letters to our elected representatives on MOAA issues, participate in the Clallam County Veterans Association, have general meeting six times a year and help support local veterans causes. Please join us in being a contributing voice on veterans’ affairs in Clallam County.
