Mission

The mission of the SENE MOAA Chapter is to support currently serving and retired members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors; and to serve the community and the nation.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in the Southeastern New England Chapter is open to anyone who holds or has ever held a commission or warrant in any component of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and their surviving spouses. Chapter membership annual dues are $16 for regular members and $11 for auxiliary members. Chapter Activities

The Chapter holds monthly meetings usually on the Forth Friday of each month and are well advertised in advance. The meetings typically consists of a social hour, brief business session, lunch and a guest speaker from the military, political local business leaders. As a Chapter we support several local programs including JROTC, Operation Stand Down RI, Toys for Tots, RIMO Lounge, Freedom FIDOS, Cell Phones for the Troops and OCS Graduations at the Naval Base. We support these and other groups through our annual Golf Tournament which provides funding for our activities.

Legislative Issues

The Southeastern MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda, and supports veteran's issues on the local and state level.

About Our Chapter

The Southeastern New England (SENE) Chapter has been an affiliate of the national association since 1963. Meetings are held monthly, usually at the Newport Naval Station Officers Club. The chapter currently has 125 officers and auxiliary members made up of currently serving, former, and retired officers and their survivors. -------------------------------------------
