Lt. Christopher Hanley is a native of Kennett Square, Pa. He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
A surface warfare officer by trade, he served onboard USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) and USS Rushmore (LSD 47) as a combat systems officer and navigator. He is assigned to the Navy’s Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington, D.C., as a policy and relationship manager and supports the Navy’s Senate engagement efforts.
He lives in Arlington, Va., with his spouse, who serves on MOAA’s Spouse Advisory Council.
