Heather Escamilla is a 1994 graduate of Towson State University. She has been married to her active duty Marine Corps spouse for 28 years and has four children.

Heather has served in all levels in various Marine Corps Officer Spouse Clubs, has volunteered within her husband's units on Family Readiness Teams, has led the Commandant's Combined Leadership Course Cornerstone Spouses Workshop, and previously served on the MOAA Currently Serving Spouse Council (2015-2017).
