Megan Powell is a member of MOAA’s Currently Serving Spouse Advisory Council. As an Army spouse, she serves as a volunteer for the National Military Family Association and Battalion Level Soldier and Family Readiness Group (SFRG) Advisor.
Previously she represented Army volunteers on Department of the Army level working groups revising the SFRG program. While volunteering with Army Community Service, she instructed and mentored new spouses at Fort Campbell, Ky., and Fort Benning, Ga. In addition to her volunteer work, Megan works as a MILLIE scout, assisting families with PCS moves.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Megan previously worked in television production with local news affiliates and sports coverage. She worked for Fox Sports, NBC Sports, and ESPN, covering NASCAR in various capacities.
Megan currently resides in Fort Hood, Texas, with her husband and son.
