Mychael Willon is an active duty Army spouse, father, and retired educator. He currently is a stay-at-home dad volunteering in varied roles at the local, regional, state, and national PTA. Prior to retirement, his entire professional life was devoted to public education. He retains a keen interest in preparing future educators. His passion is promoting advocacy for all students, especially children of military families and children with special needs.
In addition to PTA, he serves on the Virginia Council on the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, Virginia’s Special Education Advisory Committee, and on the Advisory Board for the Military Family Advisory Network.
He is a life member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association, the American Numismatic Association, the Association of Teacher Educators, the NAACP, the National PTA, the Virginia Middle School Association, and the Virginia PTA.
Mychael is child-centered, creative, enthusiastic, a risk taker, and a self-starter. He is visible and available as an active volunteer in his community. He takes great pride in his two wonderful sons, Charles and Mychael, and his husband, Michael. They reside in Williamsburg, Va.
