The Defense Commissary Agency’s curbside pickup program rollout reached Europe on Sept. 20, with more stores set to join up later this month.

Click2Go will be available to shoppers at more than 200 stores as of Sept. 20, according to a Commissaries.com listing. Far East Area stores – including those in Hawaii – are set to offer the service as of Sept. 27, which would make it available throughout the commissary system, according to a Sept. 16 news release.

To encourage customers to try the service, the agency will continue to waive the $4.95-per-order service fee, which has been off the books since June 28.

The commissaries at California’s Travis Air Force Base, Nebraska’s Offutt Air Force Base, and Virginia’s Fort Lee began offering curbside pickup in 2013 as part of a pilot program. The program was discontinued in 2019, shortly before the Click2Go program launched.

The rollout started slowly, with about a dozen stores having the service as of mid-2021. By month’s end, it’ll be available at all 230 stores worldwide.

Bill Moore, the agency’s director and CEO, has said the next step could be a home delivery option.

“We are also considering delivery as another important convenience and hope to make this available in the not-too-distant future,” Moore said in a June announcement of expanded Click2Go offerings. “Our patrons are asking for it and we are working to make it happen!”
