Ms. Katherine Ponds holds a Bachelor's of Arts Degree from George Washington University. She has conducted additional graduate study in Urban and Regional Planning. Ponds has completed training in a variety of assessment instruments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strong Interest Inventory, and the Life Styles Inventory. She has received specialized training in the areas of 360-Degree Assessment, Executive Coaching, Executive Assimilation, and Media Communications.
In her most recent position as regional vice president, Career Management Practice Leader, Ponds led Right Management's Americas-East Region Career Management Practice, the organizations' largest Career Management practice, encompassing Eastern Canada (including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and the Atlantic Provinces), Western New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. In this capacity Ponds led the development, and execution of talent and career management workforce solutions. She has helped organizations optimize their downsizing and career management activities and has consulted with a wide range of organizations facing significant change through mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
Ponds spent several years as an executive recruiter recruiting executives and senior level managers within the banking and retail industries, and lawyers for private law firms. She also possesses extensive experience in the retail sector in line management buying and marketing roles.
Ponds' public sector experience includes her appointment to the Council of the District of Columbia where she served as chief of staff to a Council Member.
