Regina Chavis

Chavis holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Walsh College in Troy, Mich.

She has nearly 30 years of experience in public accounting and the nonprofit industry. Prior to joining MOAA in February of 2017, Chavis served as the Associate Executive Director and Senior Director of Operations at the American Political Science Association. She was responsible for managing finance and administration, building operations, human resources, member services, meetings and events, marketing and communications, and publications to achieve intended program and mission results efficiently, economically, and effectively.

 

She also has worked at local nonprofits, such as the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and Chesapeake Home Health Agency, as well as for-profit organizations during her illustrious career. She is a licensed CPA and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Chavis is the child and surviving spouse of Air Force retirees. She has enjoyed the opportunity to travel the globe from the time she was born in Germany to the time her spouse retired in the Washington, D.C., area. “Aim High … Fly-Fight-Win.”
